Wendy is a wife, mother, nanna, and passionate advocate for the one who needs someone to stand alongside them during life’s challenges. Wendy has been actively involved with crisis pregnancy centers, advocating for neglected and abused children, outreach to women incarcerated and mentoring women to reach their full potential. Her heart for others was forged originally in a small community in the Allegheny Mountains and was broadened as she lived in the Midwest and now currently resides in the Appalachian Mountains. Wendy has a wide range of skills including administrative, bookkeeping, teaching, real estate sales, advocating, and communication. Her passion is people. Seeing others overcome circumstances that hinder individuals from reaching their fullest life. She is adamant that everyone deserves to know what it feels like to belong and be loved.

Advocated a different funding rationale to pay for housing for people with disabilities, leading to the formation of the Macomb Community Supported Living Arrangements Board, whichoversaw the implementation of a Medicaid pilot
program that allowed 30+ people with disabilities to live where they wished using Medicaid funds.
